Ghent, Belgium and London, United Kingdom, 8st May 2007 - Gradual Software, specialists in software solutions for automating the publishing process and DevZeroG, leading developer of innovative web-to-print and file transfer solutions have joined forces to automate job submission and data distribution to and from Gradual's SWITCH products. The collaboration has resulted in a full range of SWITCH example flows and scripts that allow for a seamless integration of DevZeroG's nVerge , PrintSure and PrintSure CLI products.
Combining DevZeroG's powerful technologies such as its 100% web installer to push technologies to the client, with Gradual's intelligent and flexible automation solutions brings more than just the sum of the strengths of each individual product.
- DevZeroG PrintSure is a web-to-print portal that checks and fixes PDF files and collects XMP metadata on the client-side, giving flawless jobs that can be routed and further processed with PowerSWITCH based on the collected metadata. More info
- DevZeroG PrintSure CLI can now easily be integrated into PowerSWITCH allowing an organization to use the same powerful DevZeroG PrintSure preflight engine in a hot folder environment. More info
- DevZeroG nVerge's secure and robust data transfer technologies combined with its metadata collection capabilities are the ideal route into PowerSWITCH for image workflows and further integration with digital asset management systems. More info
"We are really excited to show users the integration capabilities of PrintSure and nVerge with the SWITCH products", says Michael Dewhirst, CEO of DevZeroG. "DevZero has always had a very open approach to integration with other products. Linking our products with the SWITCH automation platform will offer users a far easier interface to further integrate with a whole series of other applications. The possibilities are endless."
Peter Camps, CEO of Gradual Software emphasis the importance of the "web-to" applications of DevZeroG. "Our goal from day one has been to connect different islands of automation, the fact that DevZeroG allows to do that across companies, while maintaining a centralized control, fits nicely into that philosophy."
PowerSWITCH with PrintSure and PrintSure CLI
PrintSure allows printers, publishers and prepress bureaus to offer their customers a simple way to check, fix and submit jobs. Its submission flows allow customers to submit jobs via a browser or through an automatically distributed and installed desktop client. As such, PrintSure creates a direct link between the customer's desktop and PowerSWITCH, giving centralized control over the complete automation workflow. The advanced metadata capabilities of PowerSWITCH allows users to create "intelligent" flows that automatically route jobs based on jobticket information that was entered by the sender.
PrintSure CLI is a commandline interface version of DevZeroG's java-based preflight engine. PrintSure CLI can now be integrated with PowerSWITCH, through Gradual's straightforward scripting capabilities. This allows users to use the same Ghent PDF Workgroup compliant technology in both their internal as their external workflows.
PowerSWITCH with nVerge
Whenever you need to receive, submit or distribute large files, nVerge saves time and money through its robust, reliable and secure data transfer capabilities. As such nVerge provides by far a more reliable way into PowerSWITCH than FTP. It's upstream job ticket capabilities allow for metadata collection at the source. PowerSWITCH can easily use this metadata for job routing or indexing purposes. Through simple hotfolder integration nVerge can also be used to add data distribution capabilities to PowerSWITCH. This will ensure that files get to their correct destination automatically, on time and in one piece.
